Has been a cornerstone of the New Plymouth, Idaho community for over six decades, and our journey began in 1959. What started as a humble farm selling beef to close family and friends has grown into a respected direct-to-consumer beef business. The Shoemaker family has always been committed to providing top-quality beef, and this commitment has remained steadfast throughout the years.

For three generations, we’ve been working the land, raising cattle with care, and ensuring that our beef is of the highest standard. In the early years, we focused on raising cattle for our family and friends, but word spread quickly about the excellent quality of our beef. The positive feedback encouraged us to expand our reach, and over time, Shoemaker Lazy S Ranch began offering our beef directly to consumers throughout the New Plymouth area and beyond.


In the beginning, we relied on traditional farming methods to raise our cattle. However, as our business grew, so did our knowledge of the best practices for raising healthy, natural cattle. Today, we use sustainable farming techniques and focus on raising grass-fed Angus and Hereford cross cattle, ensuring that our beef is not only delicious but also healthy and responsibly produced.


Throughout the years, we’ve maintained a close-knit relationship with the local community, always striving to meet the needs of our customers.
